This study aims to analyze the legal and ethical aspects that define civil liability for medical errors and iatrogenesis in obstetrics. The research investigates the rights of pregnant women, laboring women, and postpartum women through the lens of constitutional principles and legal norms, emphasizing the guarantees of physical and moral integrity during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Additionally, it explores the boundaries of civil liability, distinguishing
medical errors from iatrogenesis, and the legal instruments available for damage compensation. The significance of this study lies in the protection of patients' rights, the fight against obstetric violence, and the promotion of legal certainty, contributing to strengthening trust in the healthcare system and fostering humanized medical care.
